I recently received a traffic ticket for rolling a stop sign. Since I received the ticket, multiple lawyers have been sending me advertisements through the mail, citing that they saw I had received a traffic ticket through the court records. I know my traffic ticket is public information, but how do these lawyers get my address? Is it legal for the court to make my address public information also, simply because I'm accused of a traffic ticket? Can advertisers just access my address through court records?
