Can a lawyer do this?

The secretary acted like he was the lawyer, I called the day of my home foreclosure 2 hours before the auction he said he'd go to the courthouse to file litigation as soon as I deposited $3500 in their account which I did next day I find out nothing was filed they had no power of attorney and lawyer actually someone else. They sent fee agreement two days later I didn't sign it they're keeping my money sent bogus bill reviewing my file. What file do they have in 24 hours worth 3500 to review. On top of it the crook sent a letter stating unless I signed and returned the document terminating their service I would be continued to get billed. This is in California he's a popular lawyer with multiple offices won't call me I have never spoken to him just his secretary who acted like he was the lawyer the whole time. Is it legal to post his name online to warn others?
