How do I set up a blog?

Hello to my community!!! I am trying to set up a blog; actually, I already did. I set up an account with WordPress. That's it. I don't know anything else about this. Do you have any sites that you can recommend a dummie new blogger like me to find out what's supposed to be a blog, advertisers, etc. Anything that you can think of that I should know? Thank you guys!
