Question about buying a foreclosure.?

I have a house next door to me that is currently in foreclosure, and has been since October of 2010. The previous occupants have already moved out, but the foreclosure case is still opened. I was wondering how I would go about putting an offer in on the property now if I could...before it heads for the auction. I am in Florida if that makes any difference. Thanks for your advice!
